Destiny was honoured as Activist of the Year at the Black And Irish Gala Awards. She was also recognised as one of the “50 Ones to Watch” in 2023 by the Irish Independent and nominated for the Goss.ie Women of the Year award for her impactful contributions. In 2019, Destiny Ayo Vaughan Founded Mind the Gap Ireland, the country’s first anonymous story platform for survivors of sexual violence, creating a supportive community that aids hundreds annually while amplifying silenced voices. She was awarded a place in the 2023 Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Ideas Academy and the shegenerates program for all female founders in Ireland. She was also selected as a delegate for the United Nations commission on the Status of Women. Her achievements extend beyond academia and activism;
