About Carolyn Clarke, Chief Pioneer, BRAVE Within LLP
Carolyn Clarke is an entrepreneur, advocate for responsible business practices and a leading governance and finance professional. In 2020 she founded the leading consultancy boutique, Brave Within LLP. In 2025 she is launching the THRIVE Management Framework. She combines this with a portfolio of NED roles, acting as the Audit, Risk and Sustainability Committee Chair. Carolyn is passionate about integrating management practices that enable organisations to be commercially successful, while remaining kind to people and the planet. Using her personal experience, she pioneers an innovate approach to creating pragmatic and proportionate solutions that enable those responsible for organisations to make commitments that meet the expectations of investors but also substantiate environmental and social commitments. She campaigns for necessary changes to the legal environment to place people and the planet on an even footing with investors, enable individuals to speak-up without fear, ensure organisations properly investigate issues and wrongdoing, and prioritise the culture, processes and assurance requirements to embed good governance within. She supports the Whistleblowing Bill, the Better Business Act and Centenary Action to create a balanced and more empathetic Parliament.
